Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Pact Poultry handles, why, and what choices you have. It covers:
- the Pact Poultry web console at erp.pactpoultry.in,
- the Pact Poultry Supervisor mobile app, and
- the Pact Poultry Farmer mobile app.
In short
Pact Poultry is business software used by poultry integration companies, their field supervisors and their contract farmers. We use your information only to run that service.
We do not show ads, we do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
The Supervisor app records location only while a duty session is open. The Farmer app does not collect location.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Pact Poultry is used by poultry companies ("the company"). Each company gets its own separate database. The company decides who gets an account, what is recorded about its farms, flocks, staff and farmers, and how long those records are kept.
Pact Poultry provides and operates the software on the company's behalf. If you are a supervisor or farmer, your account was created for you by the company you work with, and that company is your first point of contact for questions about your records.
2. Information we handle
| Information | Where it comes from | Why it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Account details — name, username, email address, phone number, role, and a securely hashed password | Entered by the company when your account is created; you can change your password | Signing you in, showing the right data for your role, password reset |
| Farmer and farm details — farmer name, contact number, farm name and address, farm location, contract terms, and payment or bank details where the company records them | Entered by the company | Managing placements, supplies, lifting and grower settlements |
| Work records — daily flock entries (mortality, feed, weight, water), vaccinations, treatments, medicine requests, material receipts, lifting slips, and who entered each record and when | Entered by you or by company staff | Running the business, reports, and settlement calculations |
| Location (Supervisor app only) — GPS position during a duty session, and a single position when a farm visit is recorded | Your phone, with your permission | Showing the company where on-duty supervisors are, and confirming a visit was recorded at the farm |
| Device information — a push notification token, an app-generated device identifier, device platform, and whether a location reading was produced by a mock-location tool | Your phone | Sending you notifications, keeping offline entries from being sent twice, and detecting spoofed locations |
| Technical logs — IP address, time of request, and sign-in activity | Created automatically when the service is used | Security, fault-finding and audit |
The apps do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, messages or call history.
3. Location in the Supervisor app
- Location is recorded only while a duty session is open. You start and end the session yourself in the app. Nothing is recorded when you are off duty.
- While on duty, the app records your position at intervals so the company can see the route and the farms visited. Depending on the version your company uses, this happens either only while the app is open on screen, or also in the background with the phone locked. The app tells you which applies and shows a notification while background tracking is running.
- When you record a farm visit for today, the app takes one position reading so the visit can be matched against the farm's location.
- Your location is visible to authorised staff of your company. It is not shared with farmers or with other companies.
- You can refuse or withdraw location permission in your phone's settings at any time. Duty tracking will not work without it; the rest of the app will.
The Farmer app does not request or collect location.
4. Information stored on your phone
The mobile apps keep a copy of the records you are allowed to see on your phone, so that you can work without a network connection. Entries made offline are held on the phone and sent when a connection returns. Your sign-in session is kept in the phone's secure storage. Signing out removes this local copy.
Signature marks on a lifting slip in the Supervisor app stay on the phone and are not uploaded.
5. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the apps register a push token so we can tell you about things such as a scheduled lifting, a material dispatch or an alert. Notifications are delivered through Expo's push service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which receive the token and the notification text in order to deliver it. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings.
6. Who can see your information
- The company you work with — its authorised staff, according to the roles the company assigns.
- Supervisors and farmers — a supervisor sees the farms and batches assigned to them; a farmer sees only their own farm and flock.
- Service providers — hosting and infrastructure providers that run the service for us, and the notification services named above. They may use the information only to provide their service.
- Authorities — where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The apps contain no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
7. How information is protected
- All traffic between the apps, the web console and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
- Each company's data is held in its own database, and access is limited by role.
- Changes to records are attributed to the account that made them.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you believe your account has been used by someone else, tell your company or contact us straight away.
8. How long information is kept
Business records are kept for as long as the company has an active account with us and for as long as the company needs them for accounting, tax and legal purposes. When a company's account is closed, its data is deleted or returned to the company, except where the law requires us to keep it longer. Security logs are kept for a limited period and then removed.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask to:
- see the personal information held about you,
- have inaccurate information corrected,
- have your account and personal information deleted, and
- withdraw a permission you gave earlier, such as location or notifications.
To delete your account: ask the company that gave you your login, or email us at the address below from the email or phone number linked to your account, naming the company. We will close the account and remove the personal details attached to it. Business records you created (for example a flock's daily entries or a signed-off settlement) may be kept by the company where the law or its accounting obligations require, without your sign-in details.
Because your records belong to the company's business books, we may need to confirm a request with the company before acting on it. We aim to respond within 30 days.
10. Children
Pact Poultry is a workplace tool for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service changes. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell users in the app or through their company before it takes effect.
